Kim & Katrin

Who are we?

We’re Kim and Katrin — a couple who walk through life and the work of relationship therapy together. Our journeys as therapists began separately, but gradually became a shared mission. We know from our own experience how challenging a relationship can be, and how transformative the right support can be. Relationship therapy is a distinct discipline that calls for a specific approach. It isn’t simply individual therapy applied to couples — something that has done us, and many other couples, more harm than good. Even worse is trying to solve relationship problems by each going to a separate individual therapist, which often pushes partners further apart instead of bringing them closer together.

🔍 Our own path to EFT

Like many couples, we’ve watched our relationship evolve over the years. There were periods of loving connection, but also moments when we were on the verge of losing each other. At that time, EFT was barely known in Europe, but we sensed we needed something more than what therapy in our part of the world had to offer.

Our search took us to the United States and Canada, where we trained directly with the founders of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). What we learned there changed not only our relationship but also our entire view of how couples can really be helped. EFT didn’t just save our relationship — it keeps it vital.

Partners in relationship therapy and in love

Today, we feel it as our mission to pass this gift on to other couples. We want to help them discover that relationship problems aren’t a sign of failure, but an invitation to grow together and reconnect.

💞 Why we work together as a therapist couple

Our approach is distinctive: we work couple to couple, because we believe this offers the most balanced and the safest setting.

🔹 Familiarity & safety — couples quickly feel at ease with us. Not only because we’re therapists, but because we know what it’s like to live through the highs and lows of a relationship together.

🔹 Two perspectives, one goal — where Katrin brings an existential lens on the balance between individuality and connection, Kim looks through a systemic lens at underlying patterns and family influences.

🔹 Equal footing — with two therapists, there’s no risk that one partner ends up feeling less heard. Two pairs of eyes and ears offer deeper and broader guidance.

🏡 Online or in the South of France

Our guidance takes place in a non-clinical setting — either online, or in person at L’Assaladou, our special place in a natural setting in the South of France, where couples can genuinely step away from the daily hustle and bustle.

For those who prefer to work from home, we also offer online sessions that are just as effective.

🚀 An approach that goes beyond talking

We don’t believe in surface-level interventions or quick tips & tricks. Our guidance is in-depth, experiential and proven to be effective.

We combine EFT with methods such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), body-oriented therapy, Polyvagal Theory (PVT) and Relational Life Therapy (RLT). We also have expertise in trauma, neurodivergence (ASD, ADHD) and sexology, which helps us tailor our work very precisely to each couple.
