Existo nonprofit: time and space for recovery

At Existo we set ourselves apart by investing significant resources into our non-profit activities alongside our paid offering. Both branches serve the same mission: helping people to restore connection — with themselves, their environment and the people around them.

Non-profit: therapeutic time-out

Our non-profit branch — our core activity — is entirely focused on offering therapeutic time-out stays for vulnerable and marginalised people. This programme offers a unique opportunity to step away temporarily from a difficult home situation, and to regain a grip on life through calm and structure.

What does a therapeutic time-out stay involve?

  • Duration: a 1-to-3-month stay at the estate of our sister association in the South of France.
  • Therapy and coaching: intensive, high-quality guidance tailored to each participant.
  • Service: a steady rhythm of manageable activities — gardening, animal care or light tasks — that supports the recovery process.
  • Environment: the nature and tranquillity of the estate provide an inspiring foundation for personal growth and transformation.

This combination of retreat, therapy and meaningful activity has a deep and lasting impact on those who take part.

How we make this possible

The funding for our non-profit work comes in part from our paid activities, such as retreats and coaching programmes. This covers a foundation — about a quarter of what’s needed — but is far from enough to pay for the therapeutic time-out stays in full.

Your support makes the difference
To make these valuable programmes accessible to those who need them most, we rely on:

  • Donations: every contribution, large or small, helps us give vulnerable people a fresh chance.
  • Partnerships: collaborations with companies and organisations that share our mission.
  • Volunteers: people willing to invest time and expertise in our project as core members.

Thanks to your support we can keep changing lives — and giving people strength and hope again.
